Senior Nortel Telephony Engineer - BERMUDA - TAX FREE earnings Our Client, a leading information technology and communications consulting company based in beautiful, sub-tropical Bermuda, is seeking a Senior Nortel Engineer to join their Telephony Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the engineering, design, implementation, and maintenance of voice, data & wireless communications networks. Primary Responsibilities: • Engineer, design and install Nortel telephony communications networks for new and existing customers • Maintain, support and manage SLA’s for new and existing customer networks • Assist in the development and implementation of support strategies and programs • Provide technical guidance to engineers as required • Produce reports and provide training as required Candidates Should Possess: • Associates Degree or Relevant Technical Certifications are required (i.e. NNCSS, NNCSE, and TCP/IP Internetworking certifications) • Minimum of five – ten (5-10) years experience as a senior engineer in the field of telecommunications Data, Voice & Wireless systems • A demonstrated commitment to quality • Initiative and leadership skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, this includes evenings, and weekends as required • Ability to interact with customers, staff and vendors • Good interpersonal skills • Good communication skills, both written and oral • Working experience engineering, installing and maintaining the following Nortel Networks products is essential: o Norstar, BCM, Meridian 1 Succession, OTM, and CallPilot • Working experience engineering, installing and maintaining the following Nortel Networks products would be desirable: o Symposium, Baystack, WLAN VoIP and VoIP networks solutions • Working experience with Microsoft suite of applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio Technical is essential This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic telecommunications specialist to build on an already successful career whilst giving oneself an opportunity to live on a very real island paradise.
