| Aviation Warehouse Manager POSITION LOCATED IN UAE Main Liaison: Internal: Assistant Operations Controller, Inbound Operations Manager, Loadmasters and Warehouse Specialists ,Inbound Operations Controller, Aviation personnel in Afghanistan, Africa and the U.A.E. External: Aircraft providers, warehouse logistics personnel, Other company business units (Material Support Division, Subsistence Prime Vendor, LOGCAP, etc) Prime Objective: To manage and coordinate the preparation for onward movement of all inbound aviation cargo transiting through the comapny warehouse facilities located within the U.A.E. Key Tasks: Manages the warehousing and preparation for onward movement of approximately 1,000 metric tons of aviation cargo per week Manages a team of two to three personnel in round the clock operations Manages the building of all aircraft loads Records, monitors and tracks all aviation cargo transiting through the warehousing facilities Ensures safe and efficient operations Develops, institutes and monitors operational reporting procedures Works with the Assistant Operations Controller and Inbound Operations Manager to ensure continuous, round the clock warehousing operations Liaises with cargo suppliers and recipients to ensure accurate cargo deliveries Liaises with other company business units to report inventory status, estimated delivery dates, etc Aggressively tracks and monitors warehouse inventory Reacts rapidly to shifting priorities while maintaining control over critical requirements Ensures compliance with ICAO, US Military, NATO, UN and host nation CAA directives Manages aircraft loading personnel Manages employee issues, and when necessary liaises with the Human Resources Division Ensures accurate and timely transmission of Flight Advisories and other associated aircraft movement messages Essential Skills and Qualifications: Extensive aviation warehouse experience Extensive knowledge of aircraft loading and load-building, to include dangerous goods handling for air transport Previous experience with cargo tracking and monitoring Experience with invoicing and the development of financial controls, i.e., cost savings and cost comparisons Ability to manage and integrate horizontally with other company business units Ability to make sound command decisions based on operational and financial considerations Ability to delegate, coach and guide subordinates towards successful outcomes Proven experience working within a multicultural environment Excellent written and spoken English Well developed computer skills Experience of providing operations statistics for financial purposes Well developed Microsoft Office, Excel, Word & Outlook skills Preferable Skills and Qualifications: Prior military aviation or warehouse experience Knowledge of FAA/ICAO/IATA regulations Dangerous Goods Certified | |
