QA Assistant Manager (Logistics)

POSITION LOCATED IN AFGHANISTAN.

USA Interviews Sept 18-20th.

Responsibility for Staff:
Responsible to: Group Technical Manager/ QA Manager SPV & Depot General Manager
Directly:
•QA Supervisors

Indirectly:
•QA personnel
Main Liaison:
Internal:
•Food Safety Manager, Group Technical Manager, Catering Managers, General Managers, Warehouse Managers
External:
•Suppliers, DoD/ US Veterinarian / Medical Personnel, External Training Companies
Prime Objective:
•To manage and promote continuous improvement of the Food Safety program throughout all of the catering and retail operations;
•Monitor compliance of the Food Safety program through internal auditing;
•Oversee management of corrective action program through direct contact with catering managers to ensure actions are implemented in a timely manner with an effective outcome.
Key Tasks:
•Undertake internal audits as per the agreed schedule set by the Group Technical Manager;
•Design, implement & maintain the QA program predominantly for GFM but alos SPV products - as required.
•Monitor and ensure compliance with site's Food Safety program through internal auditing and reporting deficiencies to FSM, GM's and BUD's;
•Oversee the implementation of suggestions and preventative actions raised from the audits;
•Report audit score and findings to SPV QA Manager after each audit conducted;
•Ensure the development of the quality culture on site to increase employee awareness to factors that may compromise food safety through guidance and training;
•With guidance from the Group Technical Manager & QA Manager SPV; maintain, control and conduct maintenance of the Food Safety program as required;
•Provide technical guidance and support to Catering and Managers.
•Cover for QA Managers when required
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
•A minimum of 5 years experience within a FMCG operation with a strong understanding of Food Safety programs, HACCP principles, inspection and audit programs;
•Formal HACCP/Food Safety qualification;
•Formal auditor qualification in HACCP/Food Safety Systems

Desirable:
•Formal Training qualification in HACCP/Food Safety Systems;
•ISO qualifications / experience
•Food Catering background
•BRC
•Servesafe
