Transport Planner (Logistics) POSITION LOCATED IN AFGHANISTAN. USA Interviews Sept 18-20th. Main Liaison: Internal: •DoD Management, Warehouse, Dispatch, Transport, Customer service. External: •Aviation, Transport contractor. Prime Objective: •Obtain all Volumes; produce a daily delivery plan for SPV, contractor, Aviation deliveries. Key Tasks: •Liaison with all warehouses for volumes to be delivered to each unit - Customer •Liaise with customer service for any priority - emergency orders. •Liaise with Aviation informing of flying customer requirements, and availability of Air assets. •Liaise with Transport contractor informing of daily requirements, availability, identifying any potential shortfalls •Produce a detailed daily requirements plan of goods to be moved by road - Air. •Distribution of final plan to all Dispatch Teams •Request additional flights for sole movement throughout Afghanistan as required. Essential Skills and Qualifications: •A good understanding of dispatch operations - procedures. •Good verbal and written communication skills. •Commercial awareness, financial astuteness. •Good understanding of Microsoft office, Word and Excel. •A good understanding of Microsoft project for report writing and tracking. •The ability to work independently, with sound judgment on decision making Preferable Skills and Qualifications: •A minimum of 2 years at supervisor position or above working within a transport - dispatch environment.
