Mental Health Nurses - Lakes District Health Board

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, Mental Health Nurse to join the Psychiatric Emergency Team.

This position focus on providing quality mental health assessment, care and treatment to consumers / patients / families / whanau in crisis and emergency situations. The Psychiatric Emergency Team provides service 24 hours per day, 7 days per week throughout the Lakes District Health Board region. A key component of the role is provision of Duly Authorised Officer service to the community.

PET members will be working with the multi-disciplinary team to provide consumer / patient focussed care in a culturally appropriate manner.

Best Practice will be achieved through the application of specialist mental health knowledge and by the utilisation of Lakes District Health Board policies and procedures.

Successful applicants will be experienced mental health professionals with a minimum of three years clinical experience preferably within an acute or community setting.
