| Clinical Nurse Manager Clinical Nurse Manager Older Persons and Rehabilitation Service Permanent, full time Lakes District Health Board provides health care for a population of 100.000 from two hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo New Zealand. Rotorua Older Person and Rehabilitation Service provides a comprehensive assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to patients in the Lakes District area. The 19 bed inpatient Unit is a well resourced facility and incorporates day patient and outpatients services in a multi disciplinary setting. Service delivery is supported by a multi disciplinary team including Geriatricians, Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist and Social Workers. The CNM for Older Person and Rehabilitation team is an exciting career opportunity and is offered to a highly motivated Registered Nurse with demonstrated success in team leadership and operational management. Key to this role is the ability to support the multidisciplinary team in achieving excellent outcomes for people with disability or age-related disorders. Future developments and strategic direction for the service are being planned and requires an innovative approach in delivering quality care that meets International Standards. The successful candidate will have a background in Older Person/ Rehabilitation nursing, preferably with an appropriate Post Graduate qualification, effective communication skills and be passionate about older people and use of best practice principles. Proven ability in managing people, change management, contracts and resources is an advantage. Rotorua, with its geothermal activity and 17 lakes, attracts 1.3 million visitors each year.
